Sixth class were fortunate to climb aboard “The ARC” (Aquaculture Remote Classroom) — a schools’ programme aligned with the geography primary curriculum. Designed to help pupils learn about aquaculture, it uses immersive technology, including VR headsets, allowing children to plunge beneath the sea to discover how salmon, oysters and mussels are farmed in Ireland. The class thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on and engaging activities, while gaining a wealth of knowledge about aquaculture and Ireland’s seafood industry.
