Our sixth-class pupils recently took part in a basketball workshop with John Loftus, focusing on developing key basketball skills.
Throughout the session, pupils worked on core basketball skills including dribbling, passing, shooting and lay-ups, while also developing a deeper understanding of game strategies and tactics. There was a strong emphasis on marking, defence, teamwork and spatial awareness, helping pupils to apply their skills in game-based situations.
The workshop provided a fantastic opportunity for pupils to build confidence, improve coordination and experience the importance of communication and fair play in team sports. The crisp weather was beautiful with energy levels high, and the enthusiasm shown by all pupils was a pleasure to see.
A big thank you to John Loftus for a fun, active and skill-focused session that truly brought basketball to life for our sixth-class pupils!
