For the past four weeks, under the guidance of Ms. Stapleton, the whole school have been participating in the ‘Skip Around Europe’ Challenge. One skip / rotation of the rope is equal to one kilometre. Classes add up their skips to travel to different European capital cities. This challenge supports cross-curricular learning across many different subject areas including mathematics, geography, modern foreign languages, S.P.H.E. and P.E. It has been lovely to see the students’ skipping skills improve over the past number of weeks. A huge thank you to Ms. Stapleton for driving the initiative and organising access to skipping ropes for everyone.
