Sixth class started the day off with Buddy Reading in first and second class. We had a workshop with the author Aislinn O’Loughlin, where we learned about the writing process and examined some of Aislinn’s favourite poems. We also composed a sense poem based on St. Patrick’s Day. The children were encouraged to bring in books for the Bewley Book Swop and we also designed book covers, with the winning designs securing a scholastic book voucher. We finished the day with a Read In. We found a comfy spot upstairs, with our cushions, and enjoyed some time to ourselves reading our books.
